A Special Thanks to President Bush

I would like to thank President Bush for the commitment he has made to selling several major U.S. ports to the Emir of Dubai against the wishes of his own party members. After four years of playing up America's xenophobic tendencies to promote the "War on Terrorism," that same political machine he has built is about to run him over now that he is expecting Americans to understand the ins and outs of capitalism overnight.

You just gave Congress to the Democrats.

You think they will go quietly?
The fix is in. Can you say Diebold?
Oh and BTW - your "Daily briefing on Iran" is a Monarchist site. The symbols on the top are the Shah's family symbols. These are the same moneyed elite who after decades of brutal rule were thrown out by popular demand. They fled with the countries wealth.
One of their main supporters and propagandists is James Corsi. He of Swift Boating of Kerry fame.

Iran does not pose a threat to us at all. If they are making nukes it is quite understandable. They have every right to defend themselves. And they will. With the threat of the Bush Regime and Israel it would be negligent for their leaders not to take steps to defend themselves.

I really think you misunderestimate the threat, intentions and power of the Bush Regime.

Peace.

I am not making any claims that anything is wrong with the Emir. Americans en generale, however, have a very negative view of any foreigners, and every generation has a region that is villified more than the others, this time it just happens to be anyone of Middle Eastern descent.

Human, my comment was based on my belief that the decision to sell the ports is going to hurt the Republicans at the polls. The entire "War on Terror" concept thrives on the fear of Americans and the Bush administration has been very keen to paint a Middle Eastern face on that fear. As to Iran seeking to be a nuclear power, that does not surprise me. If a country wants to be taken seriously the quickest way to do that is to have nuclear weapons. I doubt very much that they will actually use them.

To answer Fahd - In my opnion no American Port should be controled by any foreign entity. The only problem with the Emir of Dubai is he gets his power from a foreign military. The America/Bush Regime. He has close ties to the Bush Regime and therefor is as much a threat to our National Security as the Bush Regime.

Sheri - I hear ya.

Peace.

And a lot of the conservative middle roaders are coming our way, too...things are shaping up for Hillary in 08, no matter how it irritates the far right.

Hillary? Might as well be Bush. The DLC is another reason I am now an Independent.
