Conservatives to Battle McCain

McCain's "radical" ideas--such as the belief in global warming and the support of stem cell research--are ruffling the feathers of die-hard conservatives and they are vowing to take action. So...since they are against McCain wouldn't that suggest that they are probably not going to vote since they have no other option...which would help a Democrat get into office?
