I am not sure what to say about this. Part of me is not surprised that they are going to hang Hussein, and another part of me can't shake the feeling that hell is really about to break loose.
I think neither is more likely. Bush needed the obviously Guilty verdict days before the midterms and got it (good political timing). There is a right of appeal which could stretch out Saddam's case for many more months yet.
